I'm Felicity Houston: a 21 year-old journalism student with a passion for video-games, beer, horrible films and cooking. I'm not sure if I could sound any more run of the mill from that description if I tried. Well, I probably could.
I also enjoy writing and being on camera, which sure is lucky as I'm trying to chase a career which will require lots of both.
This blog is somewhere to store notes on my journalism lectures or a place to put assignments up to be graded, or anything else I might feel belongs here.

We have a real, working newsroom here which is pretty cool. As a reporter, you get to plan, film, edit and re-version all of your own content in to radio and online. This is a (very hard, sometimes incredibly frustrating) experience which will, incidentally, help you more than words could possibly describe when it comes to graduation and finding a job because you'll actually have something real and tangible to put on your CV.
The newsroom is kitted out with big shiny Macs to conduct your business on, if you're in to that sort of thing and we have a working studio in which to produce our weekly as-live bulletins.
If you are staring down a UCAS form at the moment with journalism in mind for your future degree, I strongly suggest that you come along to an open day or two here.
